Well, considering how most flat pan cars, and even the Mini-Z have the gears exposed, I don't forsee a problem with it. Mind you, my 1/12th scale car used to collect the occasional pebble in the gears, but it was a relatively rare occurance. I've actually had it happen on the XMods, even with the gear being covered.
