I have run a similar setup to that with some success, but that was only with four cells. With six cells, the performance and current draw are completely different. Firstly, the motor is being fed more current (and voltage) by the two extra cells, and secondly the load on the motor is increased by the additional weight of the batteries. This increases current draw further. While it
may be safe for the stock ESC on four cells, six cells would likely cause damage. Using an 11 tooth pinion only makes matters even worse.
