Fair enough but...
Not everyone is capable of building a motor by hand. Are you guys trying to say that Calloway, Saleen, and the like are just trying to cash in on performance motoring? You bet! But I'd like to see the average person build a faster engine with as much reliablity. There is something to be said for experience. I'm not trying to say that one shouldn't try to experiment and come up with something new, quite the contrary! Where would great engine/motor builders be, if they didn't try? But again some people are new to this game and quite frankly lack the skill (or perhaps the willingness or confidence to try) to build a high end performance electric motor. Does that mean we should belittle them and bash the ones who would provide them with a performance option? This seems highly against the entire XMODS community ideal. Besides, if you were to participate in a sanctioned event, you would most likely be required to run a stock configuration, allowing the drivers skill to shine rather than there pocket book!
