It might be my old 1/12 scale history, but if I cannot pull some kind of vulgar display of power with my car, it's not powerful enough. Back when I did bat char-g, it had to be able to pop wheelies one a single cell. Here, I have to be able to execute a dry pavement drift at will. Still i am having issues with either lack of torque (my current gearing), or lack of speed (the drift gearing for my motor). My old 1/12th car was known for being able to flip itself over if you get a bit too zealous with the throttle...that and the ability to annoy the neighbors with this flame red blur of an r/c car
Once I get back to working on my car, it WILL geta major overhaul in the power category. Maybe something really exotic, maybe somthing so simple, it seems silly. Who knows. Either way I need about a good 30-40% more torque without any speed sacrifice compared to the car's current layout. Once that is done, all will be well, and the little cute blackmarks I leave on my desk with my car will grow to rather admirable stripes at that time
