Yep mine has that issue.
Here's what I noticed, because that stuttery thing got on my nerves. It seem to do the stuttery thing more when I turn the steering trim to the right. I think it is operating correctly to the left, but instead of doing the smaller steps to the right it just stuttering, until you crank the wheel farher.
Personally I think it's a defect in the design, and that really bugs me.
