You sould have 2 wires coming from the "Big Black Thing"

It sounds like the wire that was broke came from this location. You can just solder it back on.

I am using a Wal-Mart Motor Works charger. The bit does not lock down but it will charge the battery alright. I wouldn't buy the Motor Works just for the charger, but it is a thought.

If the car screwed up on its own, I don't see why they wouldn't replace it. I believe that since you altered the car (antenna & CC removal) the warranty is void. That is how almost all warranties...
