Problem with the older (grey) remotes?
 

I heard somewhere that the older (grey) remotes had something wrong with them, i forgot what was said, and where i read it. but is there any truth to this?

You mean the grey remotes with the blue buttons?
If so, mine works just fine. Even dropping it a couple times, and playing with it every day. I even opened it up quite a lot of times and only a stripped screw was a problem. That's all. Other than that, everything's perfect.
