Mod challenge.
Since I'm new I need to know what mods I should and shouldn't do right now. So on a scale of 1 to 10 tell me how difficult this mod is/ you found it to be
* Changing Motor * Putting in a new battery. * Putting in 2 new batteries. * Headlights and tail lights. * Car antenna swaping. Right now thats all! |
Changing motor ---1
Putting in a new Battery ---Don't reccomend it Putting in 2 new batteries ---stupid, have to also build a damn charger Headlights & Taillights ---3 Car antenna swapping --- Idunno, I want to do someday when I get to my electronics 1 class in high school |
Changing motor:
The Layman's Dual Cell Mod: 2 (1 for putting in the batteries, and 1 for moving two wires in your contoller to charge them.) Mods that require soldering: Not as easy as I thought it would be, but definitely doable. |
Changing Motor 1
Putting in a new battery. 4 Putting in 2 new batteries. 5 Headlights and tail lights. 7 Car antenna swaping 8 |

With headlights and tail lights do you want them with a switch or without a switch?? |
Does it matter? I just wanna know how tough it is
|
It does kind of matter
Because one is easier than the other :p (i think) Having no switch and just putting a piece of paper in between the battery and the wire would be easier but a bit annoying (having too take off the body if you want to use the lights.......) But having a switch (i think) is a bit harder, since you have to wire some wires to the battery. But you wouldnt have to take off the body when you wanted the lights on..... But there would be a switch on your car somewhere....... So it would matter because with your ratings i just wasnt sure whether you meant headlights and taillights with a switch...... |
the best way is to solder the light to the motor contavcts so the lights dont turn on when not needed, therefore saving batteries (although they drain power from the stock cell) nand eliminating the need for a switch
|
Cool! :D
Sorry im a n00b and i havent seen this before :( Switches look a bit ugly on your car imo :p So AUDI-TT: In your rating you made did you rate it at using that method? |
i rated it with a switch
with the motor method i would say it is like a 5 |
Kool thanx :D
Jr08bll: Sorry for hijacking your thread a little bit :( Keepthose ratings going:D |
