MUST READ BEFORE BUYING the Bit Racer tire set

I believe the Bit Racer tireset is designed for Bit Racers. not Bit Char-g cars. because I got a set and I tried them out and the softest set of tires are the ones that came with my car. not the soft ones in the set. So if you're looking for softer tires than stock, don't get the tireset becasue the soft in the tireset is harder than the medium stock tires

Ah yes, but they can be useful. I use the Bit Racer tires on the front and the stock tires on the rear. That way the front will slide a little and prevent the car from spinning out.

The true Bit Char-G tires can only be obtained in the AE86 Tureno Tuneup box kit at the moment. However, a tire set will be availble in August I believe.

thanks for the info!!!:)

Yeah, I use thesoft ones, a little hard, but use them! My original are really soft from use. I especially like the treads on the tires from the optional sets (I also have all slick tires from set w/ TuneUp Boxset)

i see
yeah i think i'm going to use the soft ones from the bit racer tire set.. that way i can kinda drift!
hey is there a special wheel for drifting in the trueno tune up set? whats special about it? the gear ratio?

ylexot 05-21-2002 07:48 AM

Yes, the "drift axle" is included in the tuneup box set. I'm not sure what the gear ratio is, but what makes it "special" is that the wheels are hard plastic making them very slippery.

I don't have one, but everyone I've heard of that has one thinks it is worthless.

so the drift axle doesn't have tires? thats weird... i don't think there's any traction at all then right?:(

Exactly. That's why everyone says it's worthless.

Its fun dudes! It is simply plastic wheels with ridges in them. It is the orange (stock) gear so you won't be any faster or slower. But it doesn't get you much of anywheres, just psycho donuts! I like 'em. :D
