Do MS PRO's have poor range?
 

I have seen a few posts about this recently. I don't have one yet, but am planning on getting one. This talk has got me thinking. Anyone who has one is this true/false? What freq do you have? Any info would be helpful to all. Thanks:D

this is just an educated guess but 27a 27b and 27c have poor range and 49a 49b and 49c have good range.

I am planning on getting one of the 49mhz cars to give better stock range, but really wondered if compared to regluar MSers the Pros were worse/better/same. You're right about the higher freq=better range. My 350Z (57mhz) is awesome as are my 45mhz & 49mhz cars. The 27 & 35 are much weaker out of the box.

thats cool you can run 3 49mhz cars at once.

I have heard the 57mhz fairlady sux. Mine did, so I killed it. My 45mhz LXX with a Zap antenna gets a magical 65 feet.

i had a crappy thor racer that got about 100feet(49mhz) no joke.

the car was crappy other than that range and the nice motor that came with it.

As I stated in another thread, I have two 49 MHz PRO sets. Both work great, with good range. 8-12 feet in heavily "computerized" areas is not uncommon. (I run mine at work, with tons of PCs and various electronic equipment in close proximity.)

I got my MS pro at Toys R Us. They only had like 6 of them in stock, but they had, around 12 regular MS's and about 6 MS Sports, as well as 50 clones in stock for $9.99 each and even some somewhat larger mini rc cars for $14.99.

I wrote Hobbico about my issue, They're looking into the issue.
I've heard that a lot of people get great range from theirs. I definately got a bad one! 49mhz
