I know, because I had the real one before. It had a 13B bridge w/ a holly carb. It was a '73, so I had no problem driving it on the street. I did get a little concern when a motorcycle cop would pass by, due to the noise. I had a lot of fun with that car.

Love where you took the images at makes it almost look real. Aside from the huge antenna sticking out

ABSOLUTELY MAAAAAHVELOUS!

How did you get the tires to look like that? They don't look like foams....

GREAT JOB!

Is that really a bit charger it looks like a real car!!

tinyrc 07-28-2002 01:17 PM

kman760, it's an ABC DTM SP, they are much bigger than BC-Gs, hence you can use a plastic model body.

Nice Rx3!!

I've always wanted a Rx3 in real life, but the only one I bumped into was for $6k!! It had a mild street port 12a with a 48mm Weber. It ran mid 14s on the quater mile. Not bad. The car was NOS bottle blue. Pretty clean, but not quite $6k material. I had a couple chances on a Rx2, but RX3 to me looks better. The R100 I test drove was severly rust cancered! I wa suprised that the little 10A(yes..10a) had some kick left in it. But I also passed on this. Kinda wish I didn't, but O well.

In the future..I hope to find one again that I can afford and hopefully have a 13b bridgeport installed.....Err! Err!Err!Err!Err!:D

Just to get back on topic alittle. Where did you find that RX3 model? Is it a Tamiya brand?

That thing is nice. I'm no big fan of 'old' cars, but that one looks great!

PorscheGuy964 09-28-2002 02:34 AM

dang...thats nice..

I'm a huge fan of old school cars like those....

Nice Job :)

What are you using to attach the body to the chassis?

bilbo 09-29-2002 06:15 PM

I believe he created his own body mount for it using velcro. It's in another post. My project is an old mustang model for my Kawada Mid; Kawada's body mount system makes it easy.

I want a SP more and more....:o :(
