Overlander's MAN 5 Ton Project
1 Attachment(s)
I will post all of my construction photos for my MAN 5ton truck here.
I want this truck to be assembled completely with fasteners using no glue at all. This way I can modify and/or rebuild it as necessary. Of course you don't have to do this when you build a TTT but this is just something I wanted to do. First pic is of the initial design: |

These are some initial shots of the frame in prototype.
I want both exls to articulate. The rear axle/gearbox is suspended at a balance pivot point to allow it to swing side to side. |

Further development of chassis.
My 3D CAD model allowed me to vizualize the interference between the servo and the chassis. This allowed me to notch the main chassis rail to accomodate the servo housing. |

Here a considerable amount of plastic has been removed from the bottom of the cargo bed.

How the notch lines up with the servo hole. Also the 2mm mounting screws for th cargo bed.

:ö: Alex,
1/87 rc truck parts are mostly handmade/fabricated, but there is one shop that sell 1/87 TTTT parts, all you have to do is add the electronics.... but there was a report that those part are of poor quality... am not sure though haven't tested one of his product yet, but hey it's your call. -æ heres the site: www.stoehrnet.de |
