Still need to work on getting the proper rims and tires for it, but these help it move. It's a tri-cell with a 3.8 in it.

Let me know what ya think.

Wow.....custom chassis and die-cast bodies never cease to amaze me

Sweet ride, man. :p

Stridex 02-22-2003 01:33 PM

I didn't have to extend any chassis' cos' I used the bensu clone from Sharper Image. Those chassis' line up with almost every import tuner. That's what the car is. The car is very heavy. It's the main reason I had to throw in 3 batteries. I plan on molding it as well as a EVO into resin to take away all that weight. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but the wheel wells are absolutely perfect. The wheel is in turning motion in the pic.

I'll walk everyone thru my mold process in this thread. I'll have the first pic up today.

Pojo 02-22-2003 01:37 PM

Sweet.....man you gotta get me one of those clones! How big IS that darn chassis??

midget_man1387 02-22-2003 01:45 PM

nice pie; I painted the rims myself, but my dad painted the body hot wheels petty racing blue for me.

where do you get those colored tires, and do they get good traction?

strider_mt2k 02-22-2003 01:56 PM

Nice car.
Too bad about the antenna.

who were you talking to?

XeroGT-R 02-22-2003 02:24 PM

Hey Stridex, If you painted it Gold or Silver it would look better. The white looks too plain. unless u got metallic white

Stridex 02-22-2003 02:55 PM

It came metallic white. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

nrmcj 02-22-2003 03:04 PM

hmm ur better off using normal tires... the orange ones are sticky, but they're not quite as sticky as the originals... heh, that paint is great :D
