What kind of suspension gives you the best turning? The different suspension arms you can buy, springs, or no suspension at all.

I've done spring mods and tried all the available suspention arms, and I like the stock white suspension arm the best for the track I race on. This is true for the chassis/body combinations I use, but I could see where a spring mod or no suspension could be useful to solve a particular problem. I honestly couldn't see any improvements with any of the red tuning kit suspension arms, and the stock white one fits better.

I race on a pretty slick basement floor, I've found NO suspension arm works best for me.

For my high-speed cars, I like a softer type I ZZ or MS Stabilus.

For my dual cell, the truly independant suspension of springs works the best.

I have found that putting springs on the front on my car helped to keep it from flipping over on turns.

One thing I would add is that in my experience, the front tires have way more to do with turning performance than the suspension.

I race on a fairly slick surface with pretty large radius turns, and NO front tires (just the bare wheels) allows me to run a formula 34 motor with green gears almost full out and gives just the right amount of control. It seems like even the hardest tire compond gives too much grip, causing oversteer and the back end spinning out.

on hard wood, the lxx suspension works great cus it's so soft. adding hard suspension just creats understeer.

If you don't want to purchase springs from a store, try using springs from a "clicker pen" (basically any pen the clicks on and off) Some of those pens springs won't work, because the magnets on the car will be attracted to them, and you won't be able to steer, so you might have to try several different kinds of pen springs. The springs I ended up using came from a 4 color pen that had 4 springs inside. I then trimmed the springs to make them fit on the car. If you have any questions on theis let me know.

whatdo the springs do any way no one ever really told me? they just told me that they worked miracles on their car and to get some. help is greatly appreciated.:)

Are the springs actually small enuff to go on instead of over the wheel struts? (if u know what I mean)

- Keen, the springs are small enough to fit over the struts, but if you use springs from a pen you'll have to cut them to fit, because you don't want them to be to stiff.

- ReD RiDeR, the springs help to stiffen up your front suspension, which does two things: 1- It can help keep your car from flipping over when you are driving fast and turning, because it does't allow you to turn as sharply. 2- The springs help to eliminate the bounciness or chatter of the front end on certain uneven driving surfaces, like carpet.
