How to remove the rear wheels from axle?
 

i wanna do the 20X20 wheel mod and i dunno how to take off the rear tires. i plan on using a soldering iron t heat up the front pins to take the front tires out but what about the rear tires?

i'm sure someone knows lol i read you can use a soldering tool to heat it up and you can remove it easily but it doesnt say where i heat it up. plus since the gear is attached to the left wheel how do i get it off?

i read that it doesnt tell you anything all is says is remove the wheels from the back rims...it doesnt tell you how or anything

what i did was i took 2 pliers and grab the 2 rims of the axle and pulled just remember not to press to hard on the rims or you mess up. thats what i did and i had to repaint them. oh dont bend the axle like what qfm site says you need the axle for latter.

one final note dont grab the rims to far up with your pliers or else you wreak the gear

that sounds like something i'll easily mess up anyone else got another way preferably with heating the thing up since i wanna test out my new soldering iron ;)

What I did is I got a fan or heatdish with the spokes around to protect from injuring your hand. Take the wheel with the rim on it, and stick it between the spokes. Make sure only the wheel is snug between them and not the gear. Now pull. It comes out very easily. The other wheel is a lot harder. Use pliers, and if worse comes to worse break the spaceer part of the wheel so it becomes a lot easier to pull off.

hm i aint got that but i have a soldering iron...do i heat up the metal axle? i got one of the wheels off i have the rim with the gear attached to it still on, should i just heat up the axle?
