The rumors have it that there will be speed sets of sorts that will offer higher rpm motors. If you look at the zip packaging (starter kit) there is a list of what's in the kit. I'll post a pic for clarity if the need arises. Now that the pcb is fixed I wouldn't doubt something faster than the nos motor coming out.

This is why I think there might be speed kits available in the future. I'm hoping someone with decision making powers at RS is reading these boards, they could learn alot.;)

Why does anyone still want the F&F kits, unless it is for the bodies. You can buy faster motors here that don't take 15 ft. to build up speed (NOS) :)

I hope they come out with more body styles, that is really all that Radioshack can offer besides the cars themselves. Don't get me wrong, I love my Zip Zaps, but after going out & hunting down all these F&F kits I have I feel stoopid knowing I could've bought better stuff online.

I myself couldn't give a hoot about the ricer bodies, but I'd like the motor/gear/axle/tire combos that are in the kit.

All I want are the cool spoilers. Oh yea, why would you need a NOS motor when you can just get a 3.0. I'm pretty sure a 3.8 and a 3.0 would run at the same speed in a ZZ because it can only put out so much power. That's what I did with mine. It seems really slow, but that just might be me cus I have a dual cell MS with a 3.8.
