Ultimate Bit Char-G, Phase I complete
1 Attachment(s)
Hi there folks! Just stopping by to show off a couple of my early Bit projects. Here's the first, Phase I of the Ultimate Bit Char-G project.
Mods include, but are not limited to: Sculpted, lowered, lightened body Lightened chassis Lightened wheels (4 spokes now) Lightened pinion gear Modified wheels (for a better tire contact patch) Trued tires Unravelled & lightened antenna Scuffed motor plate (increased heat dissipation? Nah, just for looks actually :D) Removed front tiebar Motor that made me put my 3.8's in cold storage Full details of the project are here: http://www.ultimaterc.com/urc/land/p...ltimatebit.asp This is just Phase I of the project, and Phase II has already begun. It'll be getting lower, faster, and more unique! |

HEY JANG!!!!!! It's Zeneth from your Ultimate RC Forum, thanks for all the help with the info wiht bullets and Bit char-g's and things. By the way NICE BIT!!!!!!! You always seem to find the coolest projects just like your 6 wheeled Bit Char-g.
he did the 6 wheel bit char-g:confused:
Nice! Got any pics of the lightened chassis?
good job on the spoiler and rims. is that a lil muffler i see? :D i also think i see a hood scoop... but maybe im wrong. =P anyways, NICE job on the paint and details. the antenna looks great. i think i might lower my car soon too. :D
Thanks for the kind support, guys.
In my original post, there's a bolded link to the Ultimate Bit Char-G project page. It has numerous pictures, plus detailed descriptions of what I've done so far. That should answer most questions about the car. |
TheJANG, I don't see a pic of the lightened chassis on there, could you post one? I just want to see what sections were removed etc.
Sure, here ya go:
http://www.ultimaterc.com/urc/showSc...assis_side.jpg That shows the bulk of what was removed, just the sides of the tub. I also put some holes in the undersurface and shaved corners a bit. In phase 2 of the project, I'll be making more dramatic moves. I'm world-reknown for Dremelling 1/10th scale trucks and keeping them strong, but with these little Bits, I had no idea how they'd hold up and preferred to be safe rather than sorry lol |
Cool, thanks for the explanation and keep us updated on this project!
cool, very cool. I think im happy with just plain setups. theyre only bits, but thats cool. I think im fine with a heavy bit.
I'll try to get some video up once Phase II is done, to show just how much of a difference can be made between a stock bit and a modified one :D
