What are Microsizer Sport

i was at target and they have microsizers for 19.99 all the time. but they are microsizer sports. they lokk the same, only the box is smaller, cars are preassembled, bodies are same shape but clear neon colors, and the only come with 1.6 motors. are those the only differences or are they a new type of car(circuitry wise).

I just looked on my sport controller and it has the same thing. Are these recycled booster controllers or something like that? look at the pic...the button doesn't stick out tho

I just opened up my controller and it looks like it is a booster controller without a button. the so called "button" is actually a plastic slide and nothing is wired to the area where the slide is, but there is a space in the microchip where a wire could be soldered and connected to the booster button spot. Hmm..............

did they do this so you could tell the normal MS controller from the Sport one (not that it should make a difference if they are the same frequency)

I would guess since the MS Auto Modellista was annouced at the same time as the MS Sport, and Pro that they are using the same cases. It makes sense to me that it would cut production cost to use the same case with all the models.

so do microsizers make 2 speed cars.

drft240 01-27-2003 12:53 AM

what will the microsizer pro and auto modelista set be?

My Question Exactly...

I'm gonna contact Hobbie today and see. I bought a "Sport" and a standard MS yesterday. No difference except that slow a$$ 1.6 motor. Drop in a KIT 2.2, that's the "kick" in the pants it needed. Just waiting for my Extreme 3.2 & 3.5's to come this week.
