spur gear
 
i just bought the "tuneup set" and im wondering what the Spur Gear is for? its the axle with hard plastic tires on orange gear....

Its so you can use the drift axle set. Can you imagine having more axles than spur gears and not being able to have all your cars set up at one time...instead needing to swap spur gears in order to use them?

Drift Axle set is a setup which lets you have almost no lateral traction on the rear-end. So the car can donut like you wouldn't believe, but can still accelerate pretty well. (Lack of lateral traction at rear axle results in Oversteer) Combine that with some really hard front tires and you can 'drift' corners. It's gonna take some practice to really get good at doing it; but when you do, it looks wicked.

If I remember correctly, with the suspension bars, the fewer holes in the bar the less it lets the steering nuckles move up and down. And the more/larger holes let it move more. (think like anti-sway bars: the harder it is the more it resists the weight transfer to the outside wheel)
