question for those who've done dual cell mod

Ok for those who've done the internal dual cell mod. How many bits did you destroy before getting it right?

I think i've just about destroyed mine. i can get the batteries to fit no problem and i've worked out where to put the everything, but it's the stupid little hair wires! They are driving me nuts!!!! I'm being insanely careful with them and twice now just as i finish the stupid mod, i notice the same one has broken again! It's like it's waiting for me to finish then decides to pop off. aaahhhh!!!!

what type of wires are you guys using to connect everything. i'm having a hell of a time getting everything just right.

one more try with this one and then it's no more messing with bits for me.

got it right on my first try.

Those steering wires are fragile as i'm sure you know by now. When you reattach one make sure you strip of the enamel coating before resoldering it to the PCB.

i finished mine the 1st try as well.. i did alot of modding to the bay with my dremel as well... didnt break any wires (steered clear of them)

i had an engineer do mine. i put my second battery above the heat sink and dremeled the rear window so the battery just barly fits.

Silentbob343 01-22-2003 02:27 AM

yeah that's where I put my second battery. On my next dual batt. I'll but it in the chassis.

i can fit an s2k body on my dual cell bit :)

I know if you wire the batteries in series you get double the voltage and if you wire them in parallel you get double the mAH, i.e. longer run time but no power increase.

Can somebody show me a diagram of how to wire the batteries in parallel or provide a link to a site the shows how? All the places i've seen only show how to wire the batteries in series.

instead of connecting positive to negative you connect positive to positive and negative ti negative and solder a bridge across them, then use the negative like one side and th epositive like the other side.. wouldn treccomend it tho, u may get longer runtimes, but the extra wieght would slow you down big time.

Thanks

I don't want to do it but just wanted to know how it could be done.

6th grade science class would also tell u how to wire in series.

remember stock cars (at least clones) weigh about 21grams.
dual cell cars weigh 24 or 25 grams. if you ad that weight with no extra power your car will be slow.

shocon2k stop being an ass, do you know he is even in the 6th grade yet? do you know all the circumstances.. no you dont. knock it off
