missing signal
 

what, besides batteries, cuz i tried changing them, would cause the signal to skip intermittently when the rr gets about 40 feet away and further

Interference. Are you outisde? By a highway? I've seen trucker's CB's mess w/ cars before.

Is your antena up on your car, or did you try some internal antena mod? If so, get it back where it belongs.

Are you pointing your Tx at the car? Don't . . . there is usually a dead spot right out the tip of the antena on the Tx.

I guess that's all I've got :confused:

ok try this see if it helps

get 1 aligator clip and a 6inch piece of thin speaker wire or similair
solder the wire onto the croc clip then attach the croc clip at the tip of tranny ariel,this will always ensure that the signal is radiated outwards and not down,its something we do in offroad when conditions are bad.
