dragster

I have a Celica and I would like to make it a dragster. My upgrades so far are: 1.2V 150MAH NIMH, and 3.8 motor. Does anybody know of any good upgrades or modifications that atmost require medium mechanical experience.

P.S.
Please have mercy, I'm new to Bit Char-g.

I would say grab the Tuner set with the three gear ratios to start with. I found them for 6 bux US at my local hobby store.
I saw a big improvement with the light green 8.25:1 set.

Just for fun I also picked up the tire and drift kits.
(I love a cheap hobby!)

The drift kit has the different suspension tabs, which is why I bought it.

Speed is nothing without control, and I like the softer tabs at high speed.

What about tire sets? Are hard tires helpful when it comes to speed? Do they really have considerably less grip than stock tires?

Go

if u want 2 go overboard and maby stuff up your car take out all the stuff in the front of the car(steering stuff)and and just put a rear axel in front.it would make it lighter and steer all over place. can your drag car do wheel spin just sitting on a table because my furst drag car can.

yes...i think all aftermarket tires have less grip than the stock tires on bits

Silent_NightR34 01-19-2003 10:44 PM

hehe..i also did a dragster..i took out all the sterring and all..like the magnet , the steering coils and wires....the magnet...mostly everything....i use hot glue and glued the front wheels so they stayed straight...i glue the knuckles or those white parts that stick up...i can still move the tires a little but it wil stil comebac to its orginal...an easy but really good mod is a tri or double cell mod...u can rip up a speaker cord and use one of its fine wires....then u can use tape and tape them to the baterys...theres a website on how to do it but i forgot what it was....probaly qfm...anywayzz...u dont need that much skill to do a double or tiple cell mod....me i do it the getto way...i used tape and it actally worked!!!:D :D :D

Thanks, but will dual and tri cell conversions have any negative affects on my car?

dabigpig 01-19-2003 11:46 PM

a little more weight but you won't notice it because of all the power you will have

elliot216 01-19-2003 11:52 PM

I also heard that they will dramatically decrease your motor's lifespan.

BabyKiller 01-20-2003 03:15 PM

BabyKiller 01-20-2003 03:29 PM

nvm i just relized 3:43:1 gears are the slowest(i ****ing hate liers)
cause 6 notches turn 25 faster than 43 and 8notches turn 22 faster than 3

elliot216 01-20-2003 03:34 PM

Okay, thanks, I was thinking of getting an R-Spec; also possibly doing a dual cell conversion.

BabyKiller 01-20-2003 05:59 PM
