I used a shaft from a burned out stock mini-x motor. Tamiya mini 4wd gears. Stock receiver, a small airplane esc. The steering is all dubro connectors. The motor in there right now is a 130, but a 180 will also fit. I reversed the diffs as the arrangment i have for the motor spins the shaft in the opposite direction -- and while most stock 180/130 motors seem to be neutrally timed, I'd rather keep polarity correct for future motors I might use. The chassis is fiberglass (garolite g-10 from www.mcmaster.com )

I haven't put in the intended batteries yet -- they haven't arrived, but I'm going to use 2/3AAA run along the left hand side of the car. Probably replace the esc with something reversible. Maybe an HMT-10 when intrepid has them available. Oh, and maybe throw some mini shocks on there from the mini-z rollkit, though I really wonder if they'd have any impact on the handling. I'd bet not.

With a fairly heavy 2/3AA pack wedged and taped in there for a test run, along with a 180 motor, its sickeningly fast.

The only thing I need now is blue annodized wheel nuts. I have some red ones, and I've seen purple -- anyone know if there are blue ones?

I was wondering: how did u got those plastic parts from your mini-x chasses. With plastic parts I mean the the things that support the diffs on yor chassis (Don't know the english word for it)... Did u saw them of? Cause on my chassis the chasis is made out of 1 part!

Yep, they're sawed off. I used a razor saw to do the initial cutting, then sandpaper to bring them down to the right height.

What's the gear combination? HOw many T for spurs and pinion?

It's a 1:1 ratio. I didn't want to alter the gear ratio so much as replace the motor -- and since the mini-x was designed to have its ratio's altered at the diff, I figured that'd make the most sense. My motor mount is adjustable, though, so I suppose its possible to alter. Hmmm...

They're gears from the Tamiya "Super Speed" gear set for the mini 4wd. Very tight fit on the shaft since its designed for a hex shaft. They're labeled 39t, but I'm not 100% sure, since I wasn't too concerned about the ratio. They run about $2 and change a set.
