Ice Blue LEDS???

Anyone know where i can get led's close to the blueish color of HID's? And also on my supra the headlights are painted silver on the inside of the body. Will this affect the headlight mod at all? Will it shine thru? If not what is the correct way to remove the silver paint?

Thanx in advance.

The most "white" LED's have a bluish tinge to them, and look like the HID headlights.
Don't know how to remove the paint though......

Look for Super White LEDs. Those will have the blue-ish tint like you want. If you can't find'em then there a shop near me that sells the 3mm LEDs that you would need for 1.30 each (kinda expensive but well worth it).

As far as paint goes.....uh.....uuuuuuuuuh...I have no clue whatsoever dude....sorry. I'd say paint thinner but that might eat through the plastic...you could try and find a clear supra body on the net or at a local shop somewhere.

toyeast

I have the toyeast light kit.... it has a bluish look..... and if you get the lancer set it comes with stuff that will remove the silver paint on the inside......

I did read on a thread about using oven cleaner to remove paint, try searching it!

Yeah us 1/10 scale guys use oven cleaner to remove paint from hard bodys, it doesnt melt them either. SHOULD work on these... bt dont cry to me if it melts ur body into a "big ol froozen chunk of poopy"
