:confused: chech doesn't look rigid and they should use faster motors i think a 4mm coreless motor shold have enough power for steering and a 7mm coreless motor is faster and stronger
they need less room and are more powerfull the car is expensive enough with that mabuchi m10 ****motors |
The front-end shot is the steering mechanism taken off of the chassis, which extends out in front of the tie rod. Then it attaches to the body with a screw. So it should be plenty rigid.
Steering is very quick, but it would be nice to have alternate drive motors. Can you drive a coreless motor off of a standard speed control? |

No problem - I already had those bookmarked.
Let me know if you try a new motor. One of my Puchi Marus now has MicroSizer front and rear wheels and tires (and bigger wheel wells on the body), a Mini-Z receiver, and runs on a LiPoly cell. No more twitching and very fast! It is easy to flip over if you turn quickly. I just wonder how long those tiny gear teeth will hold up under the added stress. No motor mods yet, though. |
Can you post a pic of your puchi with the MS wheells ????????? I don't run my puchi much because of the little wheels..

I should have taken a picture, because it is all apart right now. I am trying to make either a lexan or resin cast body, and use either dub city wheels or the german aluminum wheels (still waiting on tiny). Maybe foam tires, if I can. My experimental foam tires on the bit rims did wonders for the puchi, as they provided a bit of suspension action. Very hard to make that small.
For the bit wheels, I did have to dremel the wheel wells out - mostly in the rear. It did really look and perform much better, but were not perfect. The rear rims had axle holes too large. That made them hard to get centered. The front seemed to have a little toe out for some reason, which I didn't want at all. That is why I am starting over with the dub city rims this time. If it turns out good, I will post a picture this time. |
