Steering not trimable
Hi,
New to the site. Just bought a .... Think it's a clone, last night and had some fun with the cat! I seem to have dificulties with trimming the steering. The steering spring is actualy setup correctly but the car turns better on one side. Also, when trying to go straight, it turns left. I did see that there was alot of slack in the turn buckles and steering. Is there a mod or someway to fix the trim so the car goes straigth? Regards, Kit |
Thanks Mike,
I'll try that when I get home tonight and will post the result later tonight. Kit |
It could also be the fact that the motor is mounted w/ the gear on the left, so that wheel gets more power.

As for the steering, I cannot get it to work right. There seem to be too much slack between the hub and shaft of the front rims, plus the slack in the steering linkage accumelates to very bad steering. What can be done about the range, 5ft at the most... The PCB is a rev 4. Take a look at the pictures Bellow. Im not sure, but I think thats a bit knock off. If it comes in one of those dome containers which the bottom doubles as the controller, then its not the real thing. Especially if it doesn't say "TOMY" anywhere. I've got a similar clone, and had the same problem. I had no idea how to fix it, so i scrapped it for parts and the body for testing and such.

That's what i'll be doing then.
