Hot Wheels Tunerz Bodies...
Hey guys,
New to the forum but I've been doin nothin but playing with this damn Zip Zap. I just cant put it down! Anyway, I'm looking for some cars to get bodies from, and I ran across these thing on ebay. Check out www.hotwheels.com and search for "tunerz". They are supposed to be 1:64 scale just like these Zip Zaps but they all have ground effects that look like they would be a bit too tall. I'd like to see what you guys think of it! |
Have you bought one yet and if so how hard are they to put on a zz. How much do they weigh and cost.
Thanks, |
yep
They'll fit almost perfectly...but they're heavy. They sure look good though.

WOW that car has Phizer written on it!! my sister works for that company... same logo and everything. where did u get that from?!
|
pfizer oh wateva thats definetly the company my sister works 4!

Interesting. I'm not into NASCAR at all, but it is an interesting thought.

So, does anyone know if these Tunerz are die-cast or plastic? My guess is plastic since every car that is die-cast usually says so on the front - these don't say they are die-cast anywhere on the package. I'm gonna check some local stores this weekend and see if they have any

Thats awsome. I am a big nascar fan. I was going to build a nascar from scratch but this seems better. Can you fine these at the toy store or the hobie shop?

I have 4 of the tunerz cars. The wheels line up perfect with zips, but the wheels on these things are huge compared to real life the civic looks like it has 21" rims on it. the body compared to my civic zip is slightly longer and width is perfect. The only problem is the wheel wels are huge. and its DieCast! the bottom would have to be broken of the tunerz car( no screws)

Tunerz
Hey Guys,
Sorry It's taken so long to post again, but I have some details about the Tunerz... As stated above they are die-cast metal bodies so that means it's heavy as hell. I bought the 2000 Civic Si and it seems like it ould fit perfectly except for a couple problems. 1) It's a real bitch to get the bodie off without messing it up. 2) After you get the body off, there are 2 metal posts inside that are attached to the inside of the body that are right in the way of the 2 plugs that fit into the zip zap bodies. 3) The wheels are huge (height and width) as also stated above and would look real weird with the small zip zap tires. I have attempted to take apart one of the thousands of blue rear axels and attach the tunerz wheels to it. It will work except for the width of the tires... they rub on the zip zap and dont wanna turn. If I can cut those posts off with my dremel and find a way to make the tires thinner, I can get the body on and have those huge rims on it... That would be a sweet ass zip zap! I'll keep you guys posted in my progress. I'll also see if I can get some pics posted so you can see what I'm talking about. Later guys! |
nice job
hey jus wondering would they fit a bit char-g and do they have exhaust pipes and stuff
|
bits
the wheel base of the Tunerz is too long for a Bit. The tires the Tunerz come with are that plastic/rubber crap so even if you get them on the zip, it's gonna destroy it's handling.
