Is this Bit good?
 

I've heard bad things about the range on this bit char-g. What do you think of it in general?

i have that car and the range is in excess of 35ft

Got it too (got the entire set). No problem here. No cripple cap though.

dole-thanks for making me cancel the toyeast order just because 1 person said it had bad range....

Once I removed my crip cap on the car, like Shypo said, 40ft.

yeah i forgot to mention it had a cripple cap but even before i took it off it had about 20ft of range

Are you talking about the cripple cap on the controller or on the car? My controller doesn't have a cripple cap. Are there any pictures of all of this?

As you can tell in side pic, I have the same car. I also removed my CC and upgraded my car antenna to 26AWG twisted pair cable. I get 40+ feet. I also have the Pennzoil (27MHz) and get about the same, with similar mods.

No Bit I've ever heard of got 20 feet of range out of the box. Usually its between 5 and 10 feet. Once you put a new antenna on, then you'll get around 20 or 25, and remove the cripple cap and you'll get 25-30. I get 33 feet with a perfect line of sight from antenna to antenna.

that's odd, i get 20-30 feet from my microsizer/bit out of the box. but i don't think there's a crip cap inside the controller, i can't seem to find it :confused:. I have two controllers with same frequency, and with the same car one gets a better range than the other so, there's got to be some more caps i haven't heard about.

i've got this bit, crip cap on contorller and car, i've removed both and my range is really good 30+ feet, and it comes with a 2.6 stock motor
