loud gears??
if you have loud gears I have a fix for you
I had loud gears and this is what I did 1)take machine out and put it on gears 2)hit yourself on head for not putting out on before !warning first few spins of the motor will spray out so do it where u can clean the oil up, and run it a few times withour the body as to prevent oil from getting on it !any concusions resulting from the hit on the head are not my responsibility |

but once u clean it off it really makes it much quieter b49m |
I use hair clipper oil i put a little on a q-tip and just touch the pinion gear and bar it spins on also i put some on the motor gear and shaft it sits on,and run it in my hand for a sec then no more noise and the speed is alot greater.

I have found a DFL(Dry Film Lubricant) seems to work best on all the moving parts. It doesn't attract dust and wont fling off. I use Remlube (Automatic rifle lube). Give it a shot. Sorry for the pun...

i use graphite on all moving parts. it costs 3$ for a tube at either a hardware or hobby store.

Agreed, dry lubricants are better, IE silicon or graphite. And don't be a cheapass and take a pencil to your car...drop the $3 and get a ton of the stuff.
