thanks, but what is that suppose to be?

Well, it's supposed to mean that a part is made by the original company, e.g. if I want to replace my car stereo because it's broken, I can get the OEM one for $1600, made by Toyota, or a better 3rd party aftermarket one for $300. However, for some reason some retailers have been calling non-TOMY BC-Gs "OEM" when really it's backwards, they are 3rd party made.

In the computer world, when you buy something "OEM" it means you're buying the same product as any other person...Only difference is the product is usually in a plain white box, with no extras and sometimes even no instructions.

OEM is also referred to when you buy a product that was created by one company, but then labeled something else. For instance, Sanyo is a company that manufactures CD-roms (the internal parts), then other companies like Sony or Lite-On or TDK will buy the CD from Sanyo and just slap their own name plate on it.

By definition, to be able to call something "OEM" it MUST HAVE internal parts that were created by that company. That's what Tiny is saying is confusing and misleading...OEM Bullets and such have NO PARTS that came from Tomy.

Thanks Namuna, that was a much better explanation!
