how do you lower your ZZ?

when i first came to this forum i read through almost all of the threads. i read one where you can make the car look lowered. is that possible?

The only quick fix for lowering that I've heard is to putty up the old holes and make newer ones higher up. I think you'd run into a problem with steering and possibly have the backwheels touch if you don't feel like dremeling. You do have a couple other options, but in order to do it right and make it look SWEEET it will take time and patience. You can add to an existing body using plastic strips and epoxy putty, or you can go and buy a lexan body (most likely one for an HO slot car) that still has the wheel wells still filled in. This way you can cut them to size. Most hobby shops should have these. The larger hobby shops that is. Ma and Pa's normally only carry the larger scale stuff. http://www.radtrax.com sells them online, but I just looked and they're all out of stock and no pictures to show. :(

thanks for the tip stridex

well, is there any other ways that you can lower your car without making anything worse?

I wish there was. You could try making a ground effect kit and glue it on. That would be fun, but everything related to lowering bodies is tedious. If you have two bodies of the same style, you could knife off the lower part of the second one and glue it on the first. That would be quick and painless. You'd probably have to paint the ground effect kit you just created to hide the knife marks. Maybe even a little bit of sanding.

It's either the pimple or him tucking his twig and berries between his legs. You decide which one you want. :D

You can lower you ZZ. I lowered my PT but it does scrub sometimes. But it looks sweet!

My intention was to get my dremel out and place a slot above the already stock one, but I was lazy and did it with an Xacto insted. I broke through into the stock one and now the hole is bigger than I wanted it but it lowered the car pretty good.

Either I'l leave it just to show or I'll sand, putty fix and repaint. It has a wing on the top back too. Like a ricer car. And BLING BLING! Gold spoke rims :)
