Body question
Will a Hotwheels or matchbox body work on a Zip Zap? If you have tried please post your results. I read that they would but i want to know if someone has actually done it. Pics would be nice.

eh, it could work, but it'll be heavy....

You're actually better off finding some lexan bodies for HO slot cars. Keeps it light and they only need a little trimming to fit the wheels. Most hobby shops should have them. You can also look online for HO slot car bodies and find some nice styles. Unless you hate going fast and the stock Zz's are already slow enough, never add any weight. Especially something die-cast.
Here's one car I found at WalMart... It's called a Muscle Machine. It's a plastic body. All they had in were the Expeditions, but I believe there are more styles. It fits almost perfect. Just needs a little dremeling. They also make die-cast ones, so if you do decide to get one, make sure it's motorized and has 4 wheel suspension. All others are metal. I believe it cost me around $4 US. |
So how exactly does the body stay on?
|
That's up to you. Easy way is the use of velcro or you can just add a couple of layers of tape to the sides of the chassis so the body fits real snug.
