If you can get onto carmoworld.com, they have video of these things moving at INSANE speeds. Not sure the actual mph, but they do show a race-win (the 1/16 version) on a tester showing 77 kph! I seriously doubt that even with all the mods and a 90 kph motor they will ACTUALLY do 90 kph, but I did hear someone say theirs went 50 kph (which is 30 mph!) That is just outrageous speed for a 5 1/2" car!

I just ordered mine, and will be getting one of the 54 kph motors after Christmas...but this summer I plan to try the 90 kph!

P.S. Remember, you have to get the motor mod kit with the extra relays, or the bigger motor will do you no good!

CAn anyone else get to carmoworld.com. It seems to be a dead link when it redirects you. I know that tinracers.com works, but I want to compare prices.

steve1970 12-08-2002 10:49 AM

Carmoworld has decent prices and a great selection, BUT...

The shipping is ungodly.

I know my plans involve getting parts & hop-ups from tinracers (again, unless Tiny starts to stock some? hint hint)

Their prices are comparable to everyone elses when you factor in shipping.

The ONLY reason I didn't order my car from their is that they don't have the version 2 (pistol grip control) in yet, and that's what I wanted for Christmas.

Definately shop around...if you find somewhere cheaper, please share!

Hello,
I asked my parents if I could get one, they siad wait until after chrsitmas. Which means they are prabaly getting me one:D ! What are the best rechargable batteries for these cars. Also if you put a 90 kph motor, how long will the batteries last.

When it asks you to put in your address will it give you the shipping rate and I can still take it out of my cart, or will it atimtically send me a bill without telling me shipping before hand. Please reaspond. thanks!

if you go to www.minirccars.com which is an australian site they have mods and the speeds that the mods reach on the website, the speeds are accurate because they are put on a tamiya dyno afterwards
