How to do the ZZ wheel mod(or removing or replacing any wheels)

Ok as you have seen previously, I have preformed this mod, I thought that it wouldnt be fair for just me to have it...so ill share how i did it steop by step so you can also do it.(this mod works with any wheel mods u would like to do. The outcome of this mod results in increased speed preformance(with zz turbo gears) and increased hendeling. I prefer that you put slick zz tires on the front though(the ones with much friction may hinder your steering). Thoug i have used a Bit Char-G for the atcual mod, i shall use an LXX for the pictures. I will use several threads for this so please if u have comments in between humor me :)

What you will need for this mod is a prescision scredriver(flathead and philips). These are not neccesary but i syggets them so u definitely wont break anything. And of course you will need front and back zz wheels(if you dont know how to remove them, read this mod itll help).

Step #1

Assuming that someone who is new to the mini rc world is reading this, i will put all of the words in basic terms. The first thing you will have to do is take off that pcb cover(the plastic cover on top of the green circuit board(which us rcers like to call the PCB). I used a prescision flathead screwdriver (so i wouldnt break any tabs) to lift up the tabs near the rear wheels, and gently lifted up the cover, and moved it further up on the antenna. I then moved the pcb up and back(VERY GENTLY) so i woulnt breat any of the tiny wires. Then use the screwdriver to unsrew it(suggested philips prescion). There is a picture enclosed here.(to be continued on next post)

Step #2

Now remove the screw and set it i a safe place. After this lift up the peice that the screw was in(it should be black unless you are using a zz, it is clear). Now pick up the small plastic peice with the magnet in it(and the small bar twisted around it) andsit it somewhere safe also. Now, remove your bit wheels, and sit your zip zap wheels, in place(long barlike part of the steering knuckle first) There is a picture at the bottom of this post. After you set that in put the plastic part with the magnet on top of the knuckle and put the piece tat the screw was in earlier back on top. Now push your pcb back down and reapply the clear cover. ANd now guess what....your done! Im sure you can put the rear wheels on. Ok now some it bodies like the auto modellista set dont fit. a little work knife can cleanly and easily solve htis problem. I hope i have enlightened some people in this mod :) and i hope that you do it and bring me great results. I appreciate of your reading and i hope i was of assistance.

Thanks,

Thanks for the good information. With the exception to the modellista set , all other bodies will work? No rubbing of the tires or anything. Thanks again.
