I am not sure if this is the place to post a photo of my track or not so I will and hope it is ok. Anyone else have track photos. Also were are you finding alternate 1/43 plastic bodies I have search all over and not found much available.
Hope I did this right.

Cool! How's traction on that wood? There's a few threads just posted about 1/43 bodies. :)

Traction is excellent!!! and does not seem to be affecting the tires for wear (yet) I have been thinking about painting the track, for looks, but I am afraid that it may make it slick, so I think I will simply add some lane seperation line (dashes) in the straight away and maybe some arced area's in the two end corners to create a "marbles" ares :) We'll have to see.

Track Update

I decided to go ahead and paint it. I used gray primer in order to be able to see things on the track (1:43 tires when they come off) I went with the green on the infield to get a hedge look and left the padding off. We have found while racing it is better to let the car skim along the inside rail, then have it get wedged in the foam. The lane markings work well for finding a driving line in the straight away. The cars still hook up great. I used spray paint instead of brush or roll on because I knew it would soak into the plywood and not leave to smooth of a surface thus eliminating tracktion. My track is also set up so by removing the "V" on the left outside and swinging two (green) rails out it becomes an oval.Well enough on building it, it's time to use it.
