Reverse mod..while keeping reverse
 

I have been going around the internet looking through forums and this is the first one i have actually joined...because it is by far the most friendly and helpful forum I have seen...(keep it up all you members and admins)

Well anyway I was feeling that my ZIPZAP was going slow so I spent quite a while searching for the best mod that i could find...

The PCB mod I think is not reserched enough so I decided not to try it...

Then I came up onto the Reverse mod...and I thought this is the mod. I got everything ready when I realized that the mod is good for all out speed but when it comes to table cruisin' it is gonna be a pain so i decided to mod the reverse mod.

In the reverse mod you put the yellow wire onto the + of the batery...but instead of doing that i cut the yellow wire in half and put it onto a basic 3 pin switch...then adding aother wire to the left over pin and puting it on the + battery side



What this mod does is it gives me the option of speed and no reverse and normal with the flip of a small switch.

It really helps to be able to choose what you want...

Any chance you could post pix/diagrams? Also, if you could list part #s or sources for the switch, that would be really helpful for a greenie like me ;)

the 3-pin switch (or 2-pin or 4-pin) is readily available! just find a 'junk' motherboard or sound, video or other port card with jumpers! desolder the pins and use the jumpers as a switch! they cost NOTHING!

Yeah it is really eawsy if you want I could mail you a diagram or somethin...(no digital camera:( ) but other than the switch it is basically the reverse mod...

I got my little switch from one of my brothers toys:)

I appreciate it...but I believe I can piece it together from the description now!

Looks pretty nifty...maybe I can get up the nerve to do it between now and Christmas :p
