Tomy vs Lxx short antenna range

I brought a bit-g lxx car the range on the cars dies about 7 feet away for the cars. At first I though it was the controller so I used a different
controller this wasn't the problem. then I pulled out the antenna (the wire one) out and replaced it with a radio shack real antenna this wasn't the problem. So if anyone could tell me if the real Tomy bit-g cars have the same problem so I dont waste my money buying another piece of crap. I notice that the tomy bit-g cars also have this pull out antenna. I a sorry to say I was dis appointed with the git-g lxx I expect a much better produce.

i suggest trying different running conditions, depending on what kind of room you are in, it can have a big impact on range. For example my computer room makes my car stutter sometimes, but in my basement the range is phenominal imo (20 feet enough?). Try running out doors if possible, just make sure it's clean.
