want stickers and rims 4 your bit?
i picked up a toy car at the local hobby shop the came with stickers small enough to fit the bit. it also came with rims that are the same exact size as the rear wheels.
www.modifierscars.com i am currently working on the mod to fit the rims on my bit and i will post picks when im done. my current setup can be seen in the bit gallery (u can also c the small Neuspeed sticker). |
dvious1, great thinking, I never thought about being able to use Modifiers stuff on BC-Gs! Can't wait to see the pics!
|
BTW, u can also use the springs that come with the modifiers for your bit's front suspension.
just cut 1 spring in half and it fits perfectly (sort of, minor mod). just slightly shave part of the streeing arm that rubs againt the spring. if you dont have a Modifier car then just use the spring from a tiny (clicker) pen. |
do the rims actually work for it? cuz they look... well... really big
|
If you go to a craft store that has pine wood derby cars (the little gravity drive slot cars), they have small dry transfer stickers.
|
i haven't had good luck with dry transfer stickers. as soon as you hit something they scratch right off. they work good if you put something like a clear coat on the car. just my experince:)
|
I recommend Future Floor Wax - thinned 1:2 with water. It takes a little while to dry, but it's nice and glossy and ROCK-hard.
...old modeler's trick. |
thefanman, the rims are actually the same exact size.
i will post pics of my bit with the modifier rims as soon as i can get the rear wheels on (i already modified the front). having trouble separating the gear off the other axle. ne suggestions on how to do that? |
rawk! looks like something else I have to try modding:D
|
TFM, i just posted the pics at the gallery of the new rims on my bit. still need to work on the rear wheels. but this will give you the idea of how they look.
