PT Cruiser dual exhaust and Supercharger Mods
Hi There, Here are some pictures of my PT Cruiser HotROD let me know what you think! :) Check out some more pictures here!
http://www.geocities.com/wdiaz03/miniRCstuff.html Let's face it Those imports with TurBos and turBO mufflers are cool but nothing says Musle Car like a good old Supercharger and Flowmaster dual exhaust...GRRRR!!!! Can't wait to try out a mustang body to see how it looks with the dual exhaust ;) http://www.geocities.com/wdiaz03/PTSideRear.jpg http://www.geocities.com/wdiaz03/PTFront.jpg |
Oh my God. That page is a riot! Very well written! LOL! The heat is warping the muffler, I love it. And, the PT cruiser looks like it might actually be fast with all that motor... unlike the real 4 cylinder.

Later on I was going to post some details on how I built the supercharger and the dual exhaust, in case anybody is interested. For now I'll let you guys guess on were the parts came from! :p |
That was actually the first body i painted.... LOL I just painted it all black, let it dry, Then slowly went in with red pullin the flames back... was actually suprised how well it turned out. My 311 mustang didnt turn out nearly as well hehe

What did you use to make your muffler?
|
is this modification looks only or does it actually boost power?

Now this will probably answer your question but does not help you if you want to duplicate it. You'll have to keep yours eyes open for something similar, I was thinking of using a piece of antena. they happen to have nice chrome tubing...but cutting it and giving a good finish could be a challenge, I don't know if the telescoping antenas get that small....usually the last piece is solid! :( You'll have to keep your eyes open for something you can use! That's the beauty of homemade mods, no two are alike!!! |

I know what some of you are thinking, "There is no such thing as dumb question in this forum but if there was this will certainly be it". But you are wrong, there's actually a valid point to this question so allow me to elaborate. See if you are on a race, and someone whips out one of this bad boys...Wouldn't you go DAMN!!! And Once the race starts you'll be wondering when the Supercharger is gonna kick in and start turning and for flames to come out of the dual exhaust...you wont be able to concentrate, be bound to make more mistakes due to the intimidation factor, The person driving the Bad Boy will know that the others are intimidated....So YES I call it a Mental power boost! ;) |
LOFL!

makes the cruiser so much cooler
Nice monologe on your page.
Where did the v-8 come from? "Later on I was going to post some details on how I built the supercharger and the dual exhaust, in case anybody is interested. For now I'll let you guys guess on were the parts came from! " Is it "later" yet? |

For the pulley I used a round nut, These are use on sheetmetal, and are pressed into the sheetmetal. The nozzels are nothing but pins from an IC (Integrated Circuit) socket. I used a piece of breadboard with 2x4 holes on it then soldered the pins on it. All goes together with "Crazy Glue" and a piece of double sided tape is used to put it on the hood!!! For does that have no idea of what I'm talking about don't worry I'll have detailed instructions on the site soon!!! Remember to keep your eyes open for the small things, with little modification they could be used in your mini ;) Wouldn't a small 8 legged IC make a nice Ram Intake after a nice silver paintjob?? you heard it here first! :D |
