Advice for project (front/rear track measurement)
Hi guys,
I'm looking at putting a donor body onto a dNaNo chassis but I'm not sure which one. Ideally, I want the 'thinnest' car which I believe is the Skyline R34 according to this chart: http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23809. It is incomplete and there's caveat in that it's not "100% accurate". So I was wondering if there's anyone in the know that can confirm the measurements, or indeed if there is a thinner car. And whilst I'm here, how adjustable is the front/rear track? Looking at the instruction manuals, there doesn't look like there's much you can do, short of machining the parts so that they're smaller. If need be, I could manufacture some using sheet carbon fibre. Thanks in advance, any help would be useful. |
you can use the '1' size rear wheel hubs for the most narrow track, the only cars that use this hub are the Porsche 911 GT3 & Lancia Delta HF Integrale. the body mount you choose is the most difficult part of customizing your own body as the measurements of each one vary based on the specific body its meant to mount. it affects wheel base, ride height and motor placement so that's your biggest challenge. i put together a combo for custom projects like this so if its in your budget, you might wanna invest in it ;)
