i now no why arch2b let his children put the track togheter ,all those beep beep beep beep bolts pffffffffffff

arch2b 08-07-2009 12:59 PM

one of the many perks and blessings of having children :)~

it's short term manotany for long term simplicity. once it's done, it's done and changing is simple as taking them up and putting them back down.

glad to see your track up and ready to roll!

watch the cat, stretching and clawing will tear into the foam. replacement tiles can be bought cheap though. another perk of a modular track. does the cat chase the dnano around?

Marcro 08-07-2009 04:22 PM

Don't let your cat scratch theme tiles! My cat scratched only one tile. Sprayed her with a bottled water and she hasn't done it since!
Cat scratches won't necessarily effect the cars handling, but it makes the tile unattractive.
Let's see if your cat will chase the Dnano's around the track! Mine just sit's there and watches me play. :D

patrick38 08-08-2009 07:42 AM

no the cats won,t scratch the track . one cat is scared for the track and car :) the other one only watch the car go round ,thank got he leave the car alone he is 9 kilo so if he jumps on it than the dnano is 1:96 :)

Marcro 08-08-2009 09:33 AM

Yea, I can't get my cat to chase anything unless I tie a string to it which would be too much for the Dnano's. It's kind of cool though how she sits there with me and watches. I like that!
But now with my Dad's new 2 year old Irish Setter, I have no more time for the track and just recently sold it. Gotta run my cars without one. :(

patrick38 08-09-2009 09:14 AM

yep the only thing they do is following the car go round ,exept when they don,t see it anymore they going too search for it :)
i need my new tires because i have too much grip on the back ! the car flips over in turns :)
sad too hear that you had to sell your track ,where do you ride it now ?

Track looks great Patrick.

FYI, with the smaller cars like the mini-z and dNaNo, you can get away with not putting on the top male PINS. I see you already installed the top PINS, which is OK as well, since you really only need to install them once. You can dismantal the track with the rails attached in sections of four tiles. This is how I store the tracks here at office.

PS..if your cat damages any of your tiles, send me a PM or email and I can help you out.

i love the track and a friend of mine is going to get the dnano too
i am already looking out for the expension kit and inside turns but have to save first
i store the track like this ,and work great for me

wait marco in the future i will have another dnano
meabey the enzo :) ferarri rules :)

RCP-Tracks, Inc 08-14-2009 02:06 PM

If you have the room, that is a great way to store the tracks. With this method, it should only take a few minutes to set up.

I think the MIni-96 is a perfect fit for the dNaNo as there are many different layouts you can create just with one kit and it will all fit in a limited space. Yes, adding some expansion tiles and maybe a few larger radius turns or chicane kits will really enhance your layouts.

I have tested all types of surfaces from carpet ~ plastic and rubber appears to be the best surface for these cars. Either true rubber or EVA foam.

i love the track and the grip it has . the expension kitt wil be a tight fit , the inside turn kit and sicane kit i like it also . i did see it in arch2b mini 96 and i like it . i keep it in mind if the cats dammage some tiles thxs for that

arch2b 08-16-2009 04:17 PM

my kids changed our tracks around today. the inside turn kits are very good purchases

The Dnano's are much more fun on the tight Mini96 than the larger Z's. As the cars require a lot of room to gallop, an expansion pack is a must for the Dnano's I think.

patrick38 08-19-2009 12:18 PM

the expension kit is on my wish list and also the inside turn kit
whith the min-z it is almost inpossible to go around the track
how do you drive on that lay out arch2b ??? :)
