My WRX took a nose dive!

Well I just got it today, a brand new Blue Tomy Bit Char G wrx!
I got done playing aroud with it and put it on the table. Well I guess I didn't turn teh controller off and I drove it stright off the table :(. Anyways the little white struts on the front right wheel came out of the socket. Now the thing doesnt steer at all. Did I just permently screw up my wrx?

If you mean the steering knuckles (the white plastic to where the front wheels are supposed to be attached to), the you will be in a hard time trying to put it back together.

See if anything got bent so it stops the steering mechanism from performing its task. Lift your car up into the air and turn it right and left, sometimes, you find your problem under the chassis; and the solution if you're lucky.

Good Luck. I always keep my Bit at least half a feet from the edge of oblivion when I stop it temporary to do something else; Hey!, we can't play Bit Char-Gs without interuption you know.

BTW, welcome to the forums. I think you're the first new guy who actually had a problem and wanted some opinion on how to fix it.

OKay thanks, I'll give it a look over. I'm at work right now so sorry for all the typos. I'm trying to do this fast :D. Anyways, I hope I can fix it. I really don't wanna wait another week for one to show up from HK again :(.

Thanks for the welcome.

Well, it looks like it's screwed up internally. The wheels will barley or not at all turn while in the air. I did do a custom mod though where you can get the entire intenna out of the car, just by flipping the chip around.!! But that doesnt matter cuz my car doesnt drive. Well I had a fun hour or so with it. I'll probably order another one after all hopes have diminished... Where can I get a booster set?

this has GOT to be fixable... don't give up!

I would open up the front end of the car and look around to see what is loose or knocked off allignment. you can find how to take apart the front end at www.ausmicro.com i think..

the most important thing to do is to remember how everything goes together up there, and be VERY careful not to loose the steering return spring. put a piece of tape on the rod when you are working or something...

tell me what ya come up with!

Fix it and buy the booster car!

www.cosmogames.com

Don't forget to buy the 4 band controller. Unless you buy the fairlady z or auto modellista set.

Halo 10-23-2002 02:24 AM

Well i'm working on putting the steering back together. It's not hard to figure out what probably was the problem. Just getting the Wheels and everything else to snap perfectly in place is SO HARD!!!

~Halo

EDIT

The steering is fixed, but it's sooooo scetchy and the responce rate is soooo bad I think it'll just be a stand by.

EDIT #2
The turn left button doesnt click but it works, I opened it up twice, and tried fix it, but it's just "un-clicked"

EDIT #3 Okay it's confirmed it's dead =(
Time of death - 12:40 am pacific
Cause of death Sevre trauma to the steering.

Salvaged parts:
Battery
Axel
Gear
Tires
And body.

the controler doesnt click on the left turn but I think it works.
That was a terribe first experience, I only playe dwith it for an hour. I hope my next one is much better. :(
