You've got to love winter in Newfoundland

Well I got up today and opened the blinds to see what it is like outside and this is what I saw

I live in a basement appartment, but thats still a lot of snow to fall in 9 hours.
Then I had to open the door to see how much was there

I had no idea what to do, there was no way out. But luckily the rescue rabbits were sent in to get us

They got Nikki out and came back for me

They lead the way out for me

If it wasn't for them I would have never got out

Well I hoped you enjoyed my little story. :D Also, shoveling snow sucks.

Holy smokes! That's a lot of snow!!! I've never seen so much. Great pics too!

Hope everything works out ok!

Everything is ok, in case you were wondering I went upstairs and went out then dug my way in. I wanted to tunnel out of the house but that probably wouldn't have been good. It took 3 people around 3 hours to shovel half of the drive way. And ours wasn't the worst in our cul-de-sac, you could only see the roof of one of our neighbors cars. This is our fifth storm in a month, and we are suspose to have another one this weekend. Too bad they only happen when we don't have school.

Man, that is some serious snow alright!!! I've been living in the South for 20 years now and miss the snow at times. But, I wouldn't want that much all at once. It reminds me of my boyhood in northern Ohio. We would dig tunnels like that through huge snow drifts.

This is the first tunnel that I dug in about 5 years, I've been in St. John's for 3 years going to school, so I haven't had time to do it. And we have had mild winters for the last 5 or 6 years. I guess now we are paying for it, but I can't complain. I love winter, I just wish that I could be home so I could go on ski-doo and go snowboarding. Also a snowblower and a quad are a lot better at moving snow then my arms.
