If I get a evo street can I mod it to charge?
 

I don't want to spend money on batteries so if I put a rechargable pack with connectors, will I be able to charge? Also are there easier ways to convert to rechargable?

yes you could charge the batts. if you have the xmod on and you recharge the batts it would fry the board. ive done it with the bigger scale rc cars.

"converting" to rechargable is easy. just go buy 4 rayovac rechargable batts (AAA) and put them in the car. play with it until the batts dont have enough power. then take them out and put them in a charger. there you go now it runs off AAA rechargable batts.

I actually like the feeling of charging it with a port. Also do they still sell custom Xmods? I was going to get a custom online but I don't know if they sell them. I could also walk to my Radioshack because they are like a minute away.

what do you mean buy custom xmods? adding liths or lipos requires charing from a port. installing them is all the "conversion" there is.
