Infrared Choro-Qs?
 

While I personally haven't gotten into the CQs, (I'm more of a ZZSE fan) maybe some of you guys might get a kick out of this:

Any idea if they're ever going to get a US release?

I dunno, it looks like it has steering linkage in the front. Wouldn't be a DigiQ if that's the case. The gearing looks like the standard bit in the rear as well. The DigiQ had tank like steering and solid plastic front wheels. Unlless it has gearing on the other side as well and two drive motors.

I'm totally intrigued by this new offering.

It appears to be setup like a Turbo Bit (aka Microsizers Pro). Which is to say, it uses the magnetic steering and has the turbo button. I imagine it's able to be so tiny due to using IR technology.

Depending on how much these things cost to ship in from Japan (I imagine this will be a Japan only offering, as the DigiQ and ChoroQ never really did well in the US Market), I might have to pick up 1 of each channel! There's HUGE potential to rip the electronics out of these things and transplant them into Bits or Zips and have LOADS of space leftover for other components OR for getting ultra-low profile setups going!

Keep checking EBay, I know I’ve seen some selling for $15.00 plus shipping in my regular DigiQ search. These are definitely worth buying if you like micro RC cars!

Is that supposed to be a Scion? I know they have different models in Japan, but that's what it looks like to me.

Scion is actually Toyota almost everywhere else in the world. So to answer your question...yes it's a scion :D. But you'll have to look for a "toyota bB" if you want to buy one. I agree with namuna, these have alot of rip out potential especially in a project I'm working on now. BUT, $33 +S&H for a non propo PCB???? Maxx
