custom drifting tires?
is there any way to make rubber a little harder. i cant stand drifting tires and hard slicks are just a little too soft. so i was just wondering if there is any way to harden rubber a bit.

im not too sure if this is true but this guy tryed freezing his tires and he said it worked i dont kno though

i heard in some other forum that you can wrap electrical tape around the tires like 3 times or sumthin. electrical tape is smooth and im guessin it works good. you can buy it just about anywhere

try any mini z shop, or TOPCAD for different style rubber....I found a set that are just fine for normal driven.
|
ive used scotch tape... and electrical tape... they both work fine... scotch tape gives more of a drifting effect when you use it on the rear tires only... and electrical tape isnt as good as you'd think cuz the sides of it collect dirt because of all the adhesive most brands use...
...info if you wanted to take that route... |
Re: Drift tires
I've used a set of tires from a diecast model. Look around for vinyl tires from any model kit, Some work , some don't. Experiment my boy.

to get a good drift tire,I take the regular Xmods tires(preferably the ones without treads) and I put gloss clear coat model paint on them. This makes the tires slippery and it also gives 'em a tire wet black magic look.
