should i lock my front diff
plain and clear i have 2 xmods my evo is gunna get liths and i was wondering if i should lock my front diff. im trying to make my evo into a drift king so dunno. i locked my rear diff but do i have to lock the front also
k with my gen 1 im probably going to get a awd kit just wondering if i should lock the front diff to that also but i have one more concern. when i locked my gen 1 rear diff i noticed that there was ALOT of resistance. like with just a plain chassis and connected wheels (connected by the diff) i tried just rolling it on a smooth surface and the wheels were not moving if i grabbed the chassis and manually moved it the front wheels were the only one moving. is my diff messed up or is this normal |
i personally think locking your diffs is a stupid idea unless your gonna do major off roading, and for drifting just go with limited slip. if you lock your front diff you will loose even more on ur turning radius and more wear on parts, i dont recomend it. for your locked diff in ur gen 1 it sounds like you glued the gears to the inside of the casing or something because it seems as your diff is being caught on somethin or binding. the awd rear diff is awd right, just leave it like that.
