EVO body on Gen 1 Xmod
Has anyone tried an evo body/kit, like the 2004 red Mustang on a generation 1 car?
|
You are talking about putting an Evo body on 1st gen chassis right? I'm just confused because you mention the red 04 Mustang kit which is a 1st gen body.

Not realy sure, just relying on the RS sales clerk. I thought he said the 04'stang and the black Acura were evo bodies. I figured someone on the forums would steer me right. If that's the case then it would fit. I am making a show car with the old mustang and I need a different body so I can run the car.
Thanks |
The RS guy told you wrong. The Acura and the red Mustang are gen 1 bodies. I'm not sure if the RSX and the Mustang are the same chassis length though. As long as you aren't using awd then it wont matter because it will be easy enough to change. If they are then you would have to change the driveshaft everytime you wanted to change the body. Try putting them on. As long as the chassis is set to the right length the body should just snap right on. Just for reference, as far as I know the only whole body kit that is sold right now for Evo's is the Blue F-150.

Thanks, now I need to go back and see if its still there. They had it on sell for $9.95.

hey guys i have the red mustang and my friend has the acura rsx and they are the same size

The red mustang body will not work unless the drive shaft is changed. Since this was to be a simple swap when I wanted to race the car it won't work as I thought.
