lift kit for XMOD Truck
 

I just recently purchased the offroad upgrade kit and when i put it together my motor was stripping out. I took it all off and tried it again, it was still stripping out. I changed the pinions and everything, it still did not work. When i took it off, my truck worked fine.

Does any one know why this is happening? Thank you

yes this happened to everyone i know who has a lift kit. it is actually the dogbone. the angle is too extreme and it pops out of the cup. i have also had problems with the awd kit in both the car and truck.

This is also happening to my brothers truck, It grinds and makes alot of noises.

once you yake out the lift kit , it works normal.thats 6 people i know of who have had problems with it.

i had the sam problem as well

we all should write radio shack to complain about this crap

I never had this problem with my truck. Are you sure you have the right shaft in the right place? The front shafts are different then the rear. The front shafts have a ball end on one end and a flat on the other end. Check your instructions and you will see what I'm talking about. I noticed this before I had my truck completely together so that could be why I never had the problem. Hopw this helps ya. Later

Also I forgot to mention that the rounded end on the front shafts goes in the outdrive side not the differential side. The reason for the ball end is so it can turn and not pop out and not bind up. Hope this helps someone fix their problem. Later

i had a similar problem with mine binding but found that i out the wrong screws in the front end. the ones with the long smoth shaft insted of the short one and my truck runs great nowadays

I am using rear dog bones in both my truck and my car. Both are normal height and AWD. Car bones for the car, truck bones for the truck. Universal rear axles for front and back on both also.

i have yet to have a dogbone problem and i do plenty of driving. I do wonder if it has anything to do with the flat on one side of the dogbone.

I am running all aluminum parts in my H2. They are not plastic dog bones. My F150 truck is lifted and 4WD. The bones (plastic) never pop out of it either, but it only has RS parts, no aluminum, so it isn't that fast.

did u do the metal berring upgrade? if so, u left the upper torque converter berrings as plastic? I've had numerous trucks come in cause of "Grinding", and they put the small metal berrings on the upper torque converter. Those berrings are for the AWD and no the upper torque converter. Also i've had a couple that when they put in the s2 motor, when they pulled the torque pinion they accidently pulled the pin with it and didn't put it or the new one back in.

if the dogbones are "falling out" of the cup, and u installed the "Off-road kit" u put the front dogbones on the back. It should b the dogbones that are flat on both ends.
