Making a power supply out of a PC power supply unit

does anyone know how to rig an atx pc power supply unit to turn on and off? i am attempting to use this as a power supply for some bettery pack chargers, 12v fan and low voltage motor break in station.

i think i have the wire chart and uses figureed out i just have to figure out how to get the psu live so to speak. right now when it's plugged in none of the output wires are live.

I posted a howto with pictures over at one18th (hit the tech corner link from the front page). Its based on articles I found online, but I took more pictures than most of those show.

Its pretty easy to get the power supply on, basically just have to bridge 2 wires on the ATX connector.

Here are the links I used when constructing mine (one has since disappeared):

If you have any questions feel free to email me.

P.S. mods, not sure if one18th is on your no link list, sorry if it is.
